Peace of Mind starts back on Monday 10th September.
· To help and support adults who suffer, or are affected in any way, by depression and related mental health issues. · To provide a service that provides peer support, bringing its members out of possible loneliness and isolation building self-confidence and self-esteem. · Bring awareness to the community of the problems that mental ill health causes and help to eradicate the stigma of mental health issues.
Attendance Attendance of the group will be open to all persons who accept the objects of the group and who reside in Cumbernauld and surrounding areas. This will be regardless of Race, Colour, Nationality, ethnic or national origins, Religions, Sex, Sexuality, Marital status, Disabilities, or disadvantaged by conditions or requirements, which cannot be shown to be justifiable. You are also required to sign a confidentiality form and sign in and out of each session. A £2 per session fee applies.
Location and Activities The group will be held fortnightly on a Monday at the Muirfield Centre Cumbernauld. It will be open 12pm-2pm. Members of the group will have access to refreshments and activities such as arts and crafts and games. Guest speakers will also attend at set sessions. More will be added if requested by attendees.

Angela, who currently studies BSc Health and Social Care, started Peace of Mind after 18 months of research, campaigning and a petition to the Scottish Parliament.
She has managed to create strong community links that will benefit those attending the group and continues working to develop more.
